The next Global Conference in Geneva in 2010

The next Global Investigate Journalism will be held in Geneva. The decision was taken at the end of the Lillehammer (Norway)Global Conference, held from 11th to 14th September

The steering comitee of the Global Investigative Conference has been convinced by the bid offered by our Swiss investigative network to host the Conference in Geneva. The bid was presented by a small delegation of Swiss investigative journalists in Lillehammer: Roland Rossier (L'Hebdo), Eric Reumann (La Liberté), Martin Stoll (Sonntagszeitung) and Jean-Philippe Ceppi (TSR).
The bid has got the strong support of the Ringier Group, the Swiss Television, the Swiss Developement Agency, the Formation Continue des Journalistes and the Foundation for Geneva.
The 2011 Conference will be hel in Kiev Ukraine. Several regional conferences will take place by the end of 2008 and 2009. www.gijc2008.no/news/320
